After graduating, each of the three friends pursued his individual career, with one joining the ancestral business, the other opting to pursue an MBA degree, and the third moving on to a long career with various pharmaceutical companies.
Over time, the associations of friendship grew to encompass business opportunities in the trade of dyes and chemicals, and later in indirect exports via supplies to a third party aggregator of export requirements. Frost International Limited's very first direct order for export came from the Russian Federation, owing to the expertise of two of the directors in the business and the third director's in-depth expertise in the pharmaceuticals business, enabled by the strong relationships forged with the third party aggregator. After that first order of $10,000 in 1990, the company spent a substantial amount of time exporting pharmaceutical products, later growing the portfolio to include surgical and other items.
