Kandla Port
40% of the Indian export / import trade from Northern India is handled from the string of Port facilities on the Gujarat Coast Line. Mundra, Kandla, Navlakhi and Pipavav are major Ports.
At Kandla Port, Frost International is installing two Floating cranes to handle Gear less Panamax and cape Size vessels. Floating Cranes efficiently discharge heavy capacity vessel up to capsized vessel at anchorage. These cranes allow greater freedom to provide customized, cost-effective and time-bound services to clients.
We also plan to provide a single-point window for all shipping-related services at Kandla. These include Stevedoring, Barging, Lighterage, Road Transportation, Custom Clearing, Agency and Railway Rack Loading. For these services, adequate equipment and infrastructure is being put into place, to obtain high discharge rates. The company expects to handle all types of cargoes like Coal, Chemicals (Dry / Liquid), Cement, Iron Ore, Steel, Agro Commodities, Fertilizers, Salt, and Gypsum etc.
With significant volumes in the coal business, Frost is planning to handle around 2 million Mt per annum of Bulk cargo at Kandla Port.
The USP planned is the offering of comprehensive logistic services, compliance with trade regulations, speedy deliveries at cost effective rates to our end customers.
Renewable Wind Energy
Conscious about reducing its carbon footprint and environmental commitments, Frost International has set up a green energy project in the form of a 4.25 MW wind farm at Tuticorin and Tirunelveli in September 2011.
The Wind Farm is supported by a power purchase agreement signed with the Tamil Nadu Government, and supplies green power to the state electricity grid. Additionally, Frost International is accredited with the UNFCC and is earning carbon credits for this endeavour.
Zaz Tannery
Zaz Tannery became part of the Frost International family with its acquisition in 2011. A sick unit at the time, Zaz Tannery received significant funding and management support in order to accomplish its purpose.
Today, as a subsidiary of Frost International, Zaz Tannery produces leather based safety shoes that are used by people across the country in industrial areas. Additionally, the tannery supplies its products to third party vendors, who in turn supply these steel-toe shoes to the Indian Army, among other customers.
Future plans for the tannery include evaluation and foray into international markets where construction laws and regulations mandate the use of products that are the forte of Zaz Tannery.

Coal Mining (Meghalaya)
Frost International has leased a one km stretch of land for a period of 30 years at Khasi Hills in the Eastern Indian state of Meghalaya, and has also constructed road connectivity to facilitate the mining and transportation of coal. Owing to the location and distance of the mines, it is not economically viable to transport and consume the high quality coal within the country.
Coal mined from the open pit mines is transported via Frost International's own trucks, for export and onward delivery and consumption by power plants and other users in Bangladesh.
